Thought I forgot? I didn’t. I had to do some living which overall is going well. I must get better at sharing when the sun is out in my mental health, but in those moments, as a member of the last analog generation, sometimes I just want to be present, my mind in the moment.
What better spot to practice this by telling about my day on the sunshine island of Denmark? On a glorious June day? When my heart exhaled and said yes, yes to all of it.
The sea was calm as we chugged out of Copenhagen and into the bright night, with a glimpse of a misty Sweden. The adventure part of being on a boat had begun.
First stop, glorious Bornholm, with abundant fields of green and a bright blue sea. Life in technicolor but better. Denmark is already so crisp in colors. Tomato red, mustard yellows, spotless whites.
My secret not-so-secret Nordic soul nodded. Oh yes. Let’s stay a while on this tidy island on a sunny day.
A farm visit with some tea and cookies. Then a trip to town to watch the seagulls and listen to the waves crashing, politely on the shore.
