Thanks for staying the course and making it to Lithuania.
First, what is the Curonian Spit because we have not heard of this magical place? It’s a delightful narrow sandy peninsula separating a lagoon from the Baltic Sea, shared by Lithuania and Russia, and good news for the trees and the fish, also a UNESCO World Heritage site
With mountains of shifting sand dunes, pine filled forests, and fishing villages, it was my kind of place to spend the morning hiking through some wooden witches and troll sculptures, followed by a stroll in a small town, a quick snoop around a local grocery store, and a seafood filled lunch. Yes. Yes. And yes.
